Understanding how your Henna develops from fresh paste to beautiful, deep color. Patience is key – the magic unfolds over 48-72 hours!
0 Hours
Wet Henna paste is applied to the skin. The design appears dark brown/black due to the paste color.
Tip:- Keep the paste on for 4-8 hours for best results. Avoid touching or smudging.
4-8 Hours
Once the dried paste is scraped off, the design appears bright orange. This is completely normal.
Tip:- Don’t wash with water immediately. Apply the lemon-sugar mixture to seal the design.
12-24 Hours
The orange color starts deepening to a reddish-brown. Keep hands warm and avoid water.
Tip:- Avoid water contact. Apply natural oils like coconut or olive oil to protect the design.
48-72 Hours
The Henna reaches its darkest shade – a beautiful, deep maroon/burgundy color!
Tip:- Your Henna is now at its best! It will gradually fade over 1-3 weeks.
Every person’s skin chemistry is different – your mehandi may develop slightly differently
Leave the paste on for 6-8 hours for the darkest stain
Don’t wash hands for at least 12 hours after scraping
Dab lemon juice mixed with sugar to seal the design
Heat helps the color develop deeper and faster
Apply coconut or olive oil before bathing
Avoid swimming pools and harsh chemicals
